Q: How far away is Kona Isle from the airport?

A: Only a short 10 mile drive.

Q: How far is your condo from downtown Kona?

A: It is approximately 2 miles away.

Q: Is there a minimum stay?

A: Yes, a minimum 5 night stay is required.

Q: Are there monthly or weekly discounts?

A: Yes.

Q: Are there grocery stores nearby?

A: Kona offers a number of grocery stores such as Costco, Safeway, KTA, and Sac n' Save. In addition, there are 2 farmers markets within walking distance and several smaller convenience stores.

Q: Are there any beaches nearby?

A: There are several beaches close to Kona Isle. Whitesands (AKA Magic Sands) is a beach that has white sand that actually disappears and reappears with changes of the tide. Kahaluu is a very popular beach for sunbathing and snorkeling. Kei Kei ponds is a quiet white sand beach near the old airport. This particular beach contains tide pools that are protected from the waves of the ocean. Perfect for families with smaller children!! In addition, there are numerous other pristine and secluded beaches including both black and green sand that dot the big island coastline.

Q: What is the climate like?

A: The average temperature in the summer is about 86 F and in the "winter" months, the average temperature is about 81 F. Say good-bye to those long sleeves, pants, mittens, boots and touques!!

Q: Is Kona Isle pet and children friendly?

A: Unfortunately, due to condo bylaws, pets are not allowed. However, green spaces, the heated pool, semi-private beach and BBQ area make this condo well suited for any family, kids and all!!

Q: Are there restaurants coffee houses and places to shop?

A: Kona offers a wide variety of restaurants, including local Hawaiian fare. There are several Oceanside cafes that offers Kona's world famous coffee. Click here for more information on Kona's restaurants. There are major box stores (ie. Macy's, Kmart, Walmart), quaint boutiques, and several local artisan shops.

Q: What are some popular activities on the Big Island?

A: Snorkeling, surfing, hiking, fishing, cycling, relaxing and unwinding are just a few of the numerous activities the big island has to offer. See the links section for more information.

Q: We heard that Ironman takes place on the Big Island. Is it close by the condo?

A: The world championships of Ironman takes place right in and around Kona. The start, transition zones and finish line all takes place at the pier in Kona. The big race takes place in October and is a very exciting time for residents and vacationers alike. For more information, click the link below.
